We began with the full cut-down of the existing road pavement. This included the removal of unsuitable clay and sand fill. We then recompacted the stripped formation and completed proof rolling. This confirmed the integrity of the subgrade before works progressed.

Where soft or yielding areas were encountered, we carried out targeted repairs. We used engineered fill and repeated proof rolling to stabilise these areas. We also installed geogrid in identified weak zones. This improved bearing capacity and long-term performance across the site.

Next, we imported, placed and compacted a new clay liner to specification. We then load-hauled suitable stripped clay and sand material back into the works. Engineered fill was imported, screened, placed and rolled up to subgrade level. Additionally, we applied lime treatment where required to condition and stabilise the formation.

We then delivered the full pavement build-up. This included the import and placement of crushed rock graded to a 3% crossfall. We also placed crushed concrete graded to a 3% crossfall. Both materials were installed to meet drainage and performance requirements.

We supplied and installed the main slab and all associated elements. These included geogrid, anchor trench, bunds, ramps and thickened edges. We also installed ACO drains, bunker walls, bunker base, plinths and the wet well tank. Additionally, we constructed the amenity slab, stormwater and sewer drainage, including pits and wedge pit floor. The carpark was also constructed as part of this scope.

We constructed dedicated heavy-duty and medium-duty pavement zones across the site. Crushed concrete was placed to suit the specific loading demands of each zone. Heavy double concrete was used in the designated heavy-duty area to meet performance requirements.

We completed stormwater management infrastructure end-to-end. This included the construction of a holding pond to manage site runoff.

Finally, we completed electrical conduit works and associated drawings. We also installed lighting pole footings across the site. An ER bunker upgrade was carried out to support the operational requirements of the site.
