MANSFIELD WMF

250 ML WINTER STORAGE & PUMP STATION

We began with full site establishment, set-out and project management planning. We then completed Level 1 geotechnical testing and QA throughout the works. This confirmed that all materials and compaction performance met the required standards.

First, we stripped and stockpiled topsoil for reuse. We then removed silt and unsuitable materials from the site. Next, we completed bulk excavation and placed engineered fill to form the earthen embankments. We also constructed a clay liner to achieve the required seepage performance. Additionally, we installed geotextile liner and rock beaching to the internal embankments for long-term protection.

We completed crushed rock crest capping to improve access and operability. We also constructed an access ramp and boat ramp for the site. A perimeter swale drain was installed to manage surface water. Finally, we placed topsoil and hydroseeded all disturbed areas for stabilisation.

We delivered mechanical and electrical works concurrently with civil construction. This included installation of the storage inlet, outlet and overflow pipework. We also installed the inlet pipeline from the transfer pump station. Electrical supply to actuators was connected as part of this scope.

We connected an inlet pipeline from the golf course irrigation rising main. We also installed an outlet pipeline to the existing transfer main. Additionally, we connected an outlet pipeline through to the irrigation pump station.

We constructed a crushed rock access track and turnaround area. A drainage culvert was also installed to support site access. For monitoring, we installed level indicator posts and a hydrostatic level sensor.

We completed site fencing and gates as part of the final works. We also installed survey monitoring points, reflective marker posts and signage. All disturbed areas were reinstated to finish the project.

We designed, documented and constructed the full irrigation pump station. This included all pumps, pipework, valves, fittings and a switchboard. We also completed all electrical and control works as part of this scope. Additionally, we decluttered the existing pump station and replaced a pump to improve reliability and maintainability.
