Max Bright & Sons Pty Ltd delivered the full scope of works for the Edgars Creek waterway and associated GGF pond infrastructure.

We began with site establishment, management plans and survey set out. This ensured a safe, compliant and accurate build from day one. Our team then removed rubble and vegetation from the site. We de-watered and de-sludged existing dams and waterways to prepare for bulk earthworks.

Haul roads and access tracks were constructed to maintain efficient site access. We stripped and stockpiled topsoil for later reinstatement. The Edgars Creek waterway was then excavated to design levels. All excavated material was separated, sorted and stockpiled to support reuse and efficient material management.

A key component of the works was the GGF pond drainage reticulation system. We designed and constructed a dedicated pump station and holding tanks. This included trenching and backfilling of 63mm pipework and associated control cables. We also constructed the GGF clay lined pond and delivered broader waterway drainage works, including pipework and pits to suit the overall drainage strategy.

Topsoiling was completed as part of the finalisation works. We also constructed a 2.5m wide concrete path to improve access and amenity.

For long-term erosion control and hydraulic performance, we supplied and constructed rock beaching in three sizes: 150mm, 450mm and 600mm D50. Weirs and spurs were also constructed to stabilise flow paths and protect the waterway.

Environmental controls were integrated throughout the project. We installed frog fencing and silt fencing to protect local fauna and manage sediment during construction.
